Here you will be basically beaching it. White sandy beaches and cookout grills on the beach make this a great spot if you are inclined to just sit there and bake yourself in a deep dark tan. Here you will also see some plant life and animals that are only common to this region, so have your camera ready.

C. Named after famous folk singer Gamble Rogers, this northern Florida destinations offers an abundance of fun to do. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intercoastal Waterways, in Flagler County, you will find great snorkeling, deep sea fishing, boating and picnics on the beach, the most common activities. As the temperatures cool, you can watch mother sea turtles lay and hide her eggs for their long nurturing growth and hatch. A different site will offer you many more choices of shells as they lay there waiting for you to take home as a memory of your trip.

D. About 50 miles west of Jacksonville, off of the water, you will find a true gem of a location. The Gold Head Branch Resort is situated on Little Lake Johnson. Here you will find Bald Eagles, Fox squirrels, the occasional Fox and more animals indigenous to Florida. If you like to golf, there are over 30 courses within a hour of this location and should offer you a nice day trip to the links. Santa Rosa County in northern Florida sees many visitors taking to the camp sites around Milton. This is a well established city and the oldest in the state. It was officially incorporated into the US in 1844, and is the county seat of Santa Rosa.

Being a vacationers’ paradise, Florida has many beautiful camp grounds with great facilities. Milton is central to Panama City, Pensacola and Fort Walton, and these four towns provide the visitor with so many different things to do and see. As a rule most campers enjoy nature and being close to it. Basing your camp close to Milton will allow you easy access to all the sights of these towns. Camping is one of the past times for many families and friends. This allows people to get  together. The big task of each day is cooking the camping food though. You need things that are pretty simple and don’t require much to make them. There  are a few things that every camper needs when cooking the food though. The first thing that everyone needs to add to their camping grocery list for camp food is  the three things everyone needs in order to make s’mores. Everyone loves this delicious  treat. All you need then are marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate bars.

It’s also nice in having the pokers that you can place things like hotdogs and marshmallows  on to roast are beneficial as well. Make sure that they extend so that you aren’t burning  yourself. This will make it that you don’t have to lean into the fire either.

Another thing that most people love is vegetables. This is pretty simple. Normally you can  add flavor by wrapping them in foil after you have added your seasonings. The nicest  vegetables to have are potatoes or corn. Those two work best, but other people have used  other things.

Trail mix is something else that we love to have as a snack when you do a full blown camping  event. The reason this is so great is all you need to do is add a few ingredients, put them  in a plastic bag, and you are good to go. This is great when you are hiking as it’s packaged  and you can pull it out at any time.

To add to your camping food adventure, you need to find are things to add that you can  just take as a snack or eat quickly. These are things you don’t have to heat up, but does  help like when you hike and all. These are like raisins, nuts, and cereals.

Last, but not least, you need to bring pots and pans. Now, you can’t put this over the  campfire, but they do have portable stoves that you can get. This will allow you to boil  water easily and more. So if you are looking to improve your camping experience and have  great camping food this is how.

The Magic Of Camping In Pennsylvania

The next time you go camping in PA (Pennsylvania) there are some things you should consider. When you think of camping and the outdoors most think of Yosemite Yellowstone and large famous parks. Pennsylvania, though not on the top of the list has other attractions that you should be aware of.

The seasonal state parks have just as much to offer. The top seven state parks are Champan,  Parker Dam, Gifford Pinchot, Shawnee, Pine Grove Furnace, Prince Gallitzin, and the huge  Pymatuning. Each park has a different flavor. Records show that Pymatuning is one of the most  visited parks in Pennsylvania. It is by far the biggest state park in Pennsylvania being 21,  122 acres. The park has one of the biggest lakes that is well over seventeen thousand acres.

Before any camper voyages to their campsite, they must know the rules and regulations. Pennsylvania parks have textbook rules. You  can bring your pets a long as its dog, cat or a caged animal, that being a bird or something  of the sort. Of course, no fires outside of the fire rings and grills. There is one rule that  might make some campers go to a local private campsite. No alcoholic beverages are allowed at the campsites or the state parks. This may be a bad thing for a few campers, though there are plenty of campsites outside of the state parks where having alcohol is legal.

Pennsylvania has populations of black bears and coyotes. This is state land that the elk are free to roam and graze about. An elk is much bigger then a deer. A typical male elk can reach a thousand pounds.

Hunting and game options offered on state parks if you have proper paperwork and its the right season. Game animals include grouse, whitetail deer, pheasant and wild turkey. Black bears and coyotes are native to the land. Be sure not to leave out any food around the campsites.
